Wiccans have two ways in which we understand Deity, one is personal, and the other is universal. When we approach deity at
a personal level, it is as an entity that we can enteract with, and form a personal relationship with. It is on this level
that many differant names have been given to deity, along with many differant faces so that we may interact better with deity
on a more personal level. It is through this interaction with deity that we seek guidance, inspiration, along with help in
our daily lives.
The other way in which we look at deity is in a universal way. This is where deity in its true nature is beyond all names,
and forms, and probably beyond all human understanding. We believe that no one name or form could ever encompass the intire
nature of the universal deity, however can only limit our understanding of deity. therefor we use the indivdual personal
deities to help us to understand the whole of the universal deity.
