Many Wiccans use ceremonal tools for their rituals, allthough they are not manditory it is what ever you feel comfortable with. Below is a list of some of the tools that might be included in ones altar.

Statues of the Goddess, and or God

Some people will use statues of the Goddess, and God while others might deside to use something to represent them such as candles, or some other natural object.

Censer

This is where incense is burned in order to invite the presence of the Goddess and God. It is also used for cleansing the ritual space.

Book of Shadows

This is a hand written book that will usually contain rituals, rites of passage, spells, and lots of other personal writings.

Chalice

This is for the wine or juice used as an offering during ritual.

Athame

The athame is usually a black handled knife that is used to direct energy in creating the magic circle.

Cauldron

These are sometimes used as a symbol of the Goddess, and can be the center of the religious rite, as fires are sometimes lit inside them.
